Model in Vehicle Validation Methodology for ADAS Features
Nikhil Khadloya, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Cognizant Technology Solutions has developed an interface for all sensors in MATLAB® and Simulink® and established vehicle communications using a high-end automotive grade CPU. This CPU allows the company to run the Simulink model in real time and test the ADAS features along with sensors on the vehicle in real-world driving scenarios. The company calls this technique model-in-vehicle (MIV) validation. MIV leads to in-vehicle verification and validation of algorithms for difficult-to-replicate scenarios in the virtual world in early stages of development in parallel to classical methodology of model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL).
