Simulation of Snubber Circuits and observing turn-on of SCR

Developing a Matlab/Simulink model for snubber circuit and observer turn-on characteristics of the thyristor.

A solved numerical given in the textbook is simulated as an experiment for undergraduate students studying the course on Power Electronics. Learning objectives of the experiment are to develop a Simulink model for snubber circuit, understand the effect of di/dt inductance on turn-on time of SCR, observe the effect of snubber circuit parameters during turn-on process of SCR, appreciate power loss curve during turning on process.
