The bulk modulus significantly affects the dynamics of hydraulic systems. In this paper, various known approaches for modeling the bulk modulus are investigated and tested. The models include volumetric compression, the solubility of air in oil and oil temperature.
Part of the models is further used in an independent metering system to analyze the effect of the bulk modulus on the hydraulic system.
