NIST Mass Absorption Coefficients for Betas and Gammas

Absorption of electron (beta) and photon (gamma) radiation in material.

The National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST, http://physics.nist.gov) provides data for the absorption of beta and gamma radiation in various materials.

These scripts make the data easily accessible:
- dl_mass_abs_coeff returns raw data, as copied from the NIST page. This list can easily be expanded.

- dl_prepare_mac returns the data for a list of materials

- dl_plot_sp_beta shows (as an example) the stopping power for betas
