Error Probability for Binary Antipodal and Orthogonal Signaling
The program has been designed considering the details given in the first edition of Proakis. The resulting graph of the program contains the curves obtained by simulated BER vs SNR per bit as given in Fig 4.2.6 of the book of Proakis (1989).
In the detection process, at the receiver the probability of error are categorized as
two types: when the transmitted signal is $s_{1}(t)$ but the
positive decision variable $U_{2}$ of the detector or match filter
goes in favor of $s_{2}(t)$ due to AWGN and similarly when the
transmitted signal is $s_{2}(t)$ the decision variable $U_{2}$ is
positive
