how to implement levy flight distribution
The Levy Flight Distribution (LFD) is a probability distribution used to model random movement patterns observed in nature, particularly in the foraging behavior of animals. It is named after the French mathematician Paul Levy, who introduced it in the 1930s.
The Levy Flight Distribution is characterized by heavy tails, meaning that it allows for occasional long jumps or flights. This property makes it different from many other probability distributions, such as the Gaussian distribution, which have finite variance and do not allow for such extreme movements.
