As I'm becoming more and more familiar with MATLAB, I'm starting to fall in love with it. I was wondering what are the coolest things that you all know MATLAB can do? As for me so far, the auto-code generation into another language is the coolest thing.

Thank you Walter. I was searching before I posted my comment but never searched using the word 'unusual'

That is really cool! I feel like I need to start messing around with the image processing capabilities of MATLAB.

"Cool" can mean lots of things. The fact that it is used to makes tools which greatly improve (or save) the lives of many is cool. Maybe someone has even used it as a tool in the attempt to get particles close to absolute zero, which is by definition, the coolest thing ever.
As far as "recreational cool", this is one of my favorites: Teja's Video Sudoku

We did some basic biological dynamic systems modeling in a class of mine using Simulink and it made it so simple. We barely touched the toolbox either. Simulink is awesome. Your Sudoku solver and things like Image Analyst's maze solving are cool.

Ha! Thanks for the shout out Sean. Personally though, I think Simulink and Model-Based Design is where the *real* fun is to be had...
