How can I timely recieve the simulation results via email

I use matlab to simulate something interesting, e.g., finite element analysis, but it takes long time to finish. Each time step I may save some figures or store some text files, but I am off the desktop. I want matlab to automatically send me those saved figures and textfile via email timely. How can I manage this? Would some friends in the community help me?
