On my Matlab Desktop UI is a minimize/maximize toggle button. I want minimizati​on/maximiz​ation to occur only when I press this button.

I have configured my Matlab Desktop UI so that among the sub-panels displayed are the Command Window and the Workspace pane. I have minimized the Workspace pane resulting in a toggle button along the right margin of the UI (see below). The toggle button will collapse/expand the Workspace pane when I press it. However, the Workspace pane also collapses when I click in the Command Window, or any other pane. I do not like the latter behavior and would like to make it so that only pressing the toggle button will cause the Workspace pane to collapse. Is there a way to accomplish this?

I raised this as a suggestion at the recent MAB. Since the panelists didn't mention that it was already possible, I'm going to assume that it isn't.
