Resample function in MATLAB with resampling factors p, q

2 views (last 30 days)
Dear all,
in order to evualuate measurement data, I would like to upsample them from 55Hz to 1210Hz with the resample function of MATLAB.
I think, that I got good results using y= resample(x,tx,fs), where
x =measurment data (input signal, [3781x1 double])
tx=Actual time steps [3781x1 double]
fs =1210Hz.
y = upsampled measurment data, [83161x1 double]
But there is also the possiblity in MATLAB to use y= resample(x,tx,fs,p,q) using p,q as the resampling factors. I don't understand what the function exactly does then. Additionally, one could add the interpolation function aswell. Is it correct, that for y= resample(x,tx,fs,p,q) the interpolation is linear?
Is there someone who could explain this function to me? I'd really appreciate. =)
Best regards
Stefan
