If it is too long since you were last under Software Maintance Service (SMS) then Mathworks would require that you purchase everything new in order to update.
If your SMS expired relatively recently, then Mathworks usually permits you to pay retroactively.
I do not know what their current policy is about how long you are permitted to pay retroactively. Possibly one year.

Go to the link: https://www.mathworks.com/mwaccount/, select your license, and click on "Renew Software Maintenance Service". It will show you the cost. The cost depends on the number of toolboxes you have and for how much time do you want to renew it.
