Hi I have used my R2018b everyday here in ABB.
Yesterday I installed a program WD Drive Utilities for an external disc using USB.
Today when I try to open the Matlab R2018b version, it doesn't open any more?

I was not familiar with the abbreviation ABB but I think I have tracked it down (found a couple of of your papers.)
Using a license pool is not relevant to my question of where the MATLAB executables are stored for you, or which operating system you are using.
Your mention of "NTFS driver" suggests to me that you might be using Mac like I asked about. WD Drive Utilities installs its own NTFS driver. If you just happened to be accessing MATLAB through an existing NTFS driver then that could have caused a problem. It would not be common at all to access MATLAB on Mac through an NTFS drive, but it is possible. More common in a corporate environment would e to access MATLAB through a network drive. Sometimes that network drive might happen to be SMB based; SMB access should not depend upon NTFS though.
Did you reboot since you installed the WD Drive Utilities? I had to reboot after I installed them on my Mac.
