SimMechanics: static reaction loads in double clamped beam

Hello,
I'm a student of the TU Delft in Holland. I want to model a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. Now I was wondering if i can determine what the static loads will be in the joints as illustrated in the figure below? Namely if I model it with a rigid rotor, the lower joint will take all the load of the rotor's weight. I think where the problem comes down to is getting to know the reaction forces of the double clamped beam. I thought of making this beam axially flexible by dividing it in elements, modeled with axial springs in the middle with a spring constant based on the properties of the beam element. This results in oscillating reaction forces, with the mean equal to what the static reaction load should be. (and a simulation which is time costly) Is it however possible to determine the static loads?
Thanks! Mark Schelbergen
