Problem with B size in spdiags

Hello, I'm trying to use a code that was in a paper, for creating a matrix:

d=spdiags(ones(t-2,1)*[1-2 1],[0:2],t-2,t);

Im getting the error:

For the syntax spdiags(B,d,m,n), the size of B must be min(m,n)-by-length(d).
