1/3 rd Octave Signal Filtering

Hallo
I have the power spectrum values [Frequency vs dB] of a signal in 1/3rd Octave format. I have a total of 31 points. I wanted to do a highpass filtering on this signal for example at 2000 Hz. So i used the attached script. But from the plot the filtered signal looks completly different from the expected signal. what is the correct way to filter this signal?
Please see the attachment for the original signal, and my code of the signal. I added both the .m file and the .txt version of the same file.
