MATLAB crashes after running PLECS blockset circuit in Simulink

4 views (last 30 days)
I'm trying to run a PLECS electrical circuit in Simulink. Even when the circuit is empty, MATLAB immediately crashes. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is here? I have added a screenshot of the crash report in the attachment. Thanks in advance!

I encountered the same issue on my system yesterday. Two days ago, everything was working perfectly and I can't even start a simulation with an PLECS circuit even if it is empty. Have you already found a a solution?

Official answer from Plexim:
There is a known problem that will cause this kind of crash if the "Thermal description search path" configured in your PLECS preferences contains non-existant folders or if the search path contains XML files that are not thermal description files.
To avoid the crash, please check your "Thermal description search path" and remove offending items.
We will fix this problem with the next bugfix release PLECS 4.2.4.

This solved the crash for me.
