Does MATLAB Student Version license have Auto Renewal and will my credit card be charged automatically?

How can I remove my credit card or any payment information from my MathWorks Account and opt out of auto renewal.

The auto renewal option is not available on our website. Also, when a student purchases a Student Version License via the MathWorks Web store, the credit card information is not left in their MathWorks Account page for the next order. MathWorks does not store your Credit Card Information for security reasons. 

You will not be charged for renewal unless you renew the license on your own from your MathWorks Account. If you wish to renew your License, you can do so by visiting the following page, and select your license type. For MATLAB Student licenses, choose 'Student', then click the 'renew' button.

You will be brought to a page where your licenses are listed. Select the license you wish to renew and look for the 'Renew Software Maintenance Service' button or link.

Once your order has been processed, you will be able to download and install the latest versions from your MathWorks account.

Campus licenses are paid by the institution, not by the student.

In some cases, Educational licenses can end up being purchases by the budget of individual faculty or staff. (Is there anywhere that gives grad students budgets? I don't think I have ever encountered such a place.)
