How do I generate a license file for an earlier version of Mathworks?

Our organization is using R2017a and I am rehosting my Network Concurrent license to a new license server. I am trying to generate the new license file with the Host ID of the new server, but the license file generated is targeted to release R2017b. Is there a way I can specify the license be generated for release R2017a?

If you are authorized for R2017b then you do not need to do anything: any valid license for a later version also permits all previous versions (at least since the license structure changed in R2006b time frame.)
