How long is a free trial of a toolbox ?

Hello, I am a student and have Matlab student version. I have downloaded Communications System Toolbox for a micro-project that ends in two weeks. I would like to know how long the trial will last ?

They're 30 days so you should be okay.

What happens after 30 days? I just downloaded a trial for a toolbox because the student license can't purchase it online (says the predictive maintenance toolbox requires that I contact sales, but sales doesn't followup with student or home licenses). I'm wondering why people don't just copy all the functions in the toolbox folder and just add them permanently to their paths. Changing the function names if need be.

The trial software will remain on the computer but you can't run it. If the MATLAB sales team says that they don't sell student versions directly, then contact your professor and see how you're supposed to obtain it. Maybe there is some process specific to your university.
