How can i get live stream from a wifi action camera in Matlab for video processing?

hello, and thanks in advance to the superhero who shall answer. i have a project going on and in it , i need to detect colours in matlab. the input source is my action cam (Odrvm action cam w9_006655). so far i am able to live stream from the cam to Laptop in VLC Media Player. and colour detection code was found but it was for the webcam (non-wireless) input. kindly help me out by either telling how to get the input directly from action cam to matlab OR someway to get the VLC media player stream to matlab. thanks in advance again
