How do you graph a function and have the hole in it visible and how do you also graph a point not on the function but on the same graph?

I do not know how to physically draw a hole on a line to show a hole on matlab. Example: the formula F(x)=(x+3)/((x+3)(x-1)^2)-33/16 There is a hole at -3 and an asymptote at 1. F(-3)=5

What is a "hole" in your mind? Yes, there is a problem of having 0/0 at that one point. But a single point has no width. There is nothing of significance to plot there.
If you want, determine the limit of your function at that location (Hint: L'Hospital's rule, or in MATLAB, use the function limit), and plot it using plot as a single point. Just use a different color for that point.
