I have the same issue as Alessio, and the answer below was no help. I don't seem to have a SupportPackageInstaller, and the install accepeted the proxy and went fine. When I enter 'matlab' at the prompt, I am challenged to log in to my account and it can't do it. There is no advanced button to enter proxy information.

Hello,
I tried with a lot of answers including turning off the antivirus and firewall but it did not work. I went this morning to the lab in the university and I tried again to install it and it finally worked !!!! I think because the VPN because at home I have viber 2.5G/s but it was too slow last night. In the lab, the internet connection is too fast and I also used VPN of the university.
Note: I connected as student in the university because I am a PhD student but my problem is that the screen was frozen when I finished writing my password to access my account to activate MATLAB.
Some suggestions:
- Try to connect via VPN.
- Try to connect to fast internet connection.
I hope this helps someone.
Keep trying, do not give up.
