Robot arm movement with mouse click on an image

Hi everyone, Im having trouble with this project. I need some ideas. I have made simple 5 degree robot arm(using Servos). I also have a webcam at the top(Not atached to the robot, just a non moving camera at the top of all the image). I connect it with arduino and Matlab with succes! ... So here is the deal... I want to be able to take a picture using the webcam, using an interface GUI(I already have), click on any place on the picture and make the arm move and just touch the spot I choose with the mouse clicking, let it move to every spot on the picture were I click on to...(If I can make it just start by touching the choosed spot the rest will be easier... But I just can´t ... ). please guys, I really need some ideas to do this :(

You need two cameras and Stereo Calibration. Your robot is working in 3D space but your image can only show you 2D space so your click on a single image can at best distinguish a line, not a point.
