Shortcut in command line to navigate through command history (UP arrow) switching mac spaces

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
The shortcut that I use on the MATLAB command line to navigate through the command history, the UP arrow or anything I change it to, now makes my mac switch "spaces" by one to the right.
I haven't been able to find anything online regarding this problem and would very much appreciate any help in solving it.
Thanks, William

Hi Mr. Roberson, thanks for the clarification and the great effort you have made on MATLAB Answers!
To work around this issue, the assignment of MATLAB can be changed manually as follows:
1) Right click the MATLAB icon in the OS X dock. 2) Go to "Options" -> "Assign To" with the mouse 3) Choose "none" for the assignment
After the assignment has been changed, pressing the "up arrow" does not switch desktops when working with instances of MATLAB in different desktops.

I have my MATLAB assigned to a particular desktop in OS-X Yosemite (same in the operating system before it), but with R2014a and R2013b, I have never had the up-arrow switch desktops on me, not even if I use a modifier key with the up-arrow.
