How can I add delta and epsilon to title and axes on a figure?

I know this has been asked on here before, but I still can't figure out how to get symbols like delta and epsilon to show up on the axes and title of my completed figures; it's simply printing '\delta' Here's what i've tried:
title(texlabel('delta 44/40Ca...)); ylabel(texlabel('delta 44/40Ca'));
I also need to do the same thing for epsilon but haven't had any luck. Are there any other things I could try? Oh also I am using version 2015b.
Thanks!!!

You don’t need the texlabel call in title, xlabel, ylable and text objects necessarily. Just use the TeX table.
These work:
title('\delta 44/40Ca...');
ylabel('\delta 44/40Ca');
