Hello, I am a engineer of a automobile company, and our company have some matlab licences. I write one software and compiled it as 'exe' file with matlab compiler. Now I want to share my software with my colleagues, that means my colleagues need to install matlab runtime on their computers.
My question is: Is matlab runtime free for company commercial use? Do I need to ask our company's IT DEPT to buy matlab runtime from mathworks?
thank you.

Yes it is. You can compile as many standalone programs as you want and distribute them, plus the MCR runtime library, to as many people as you want in your company for no additional cost (beyond the hefty cost of the compiler toolbox). I know - I do it constantly. The MCRInstaller comes with your compiler toolbox - it's part of it. Look for it in this folder C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2015b\toolbox\compiler\deploy\win64.

A key here is "in your company". The price does not change for distributing outside your company (not if you have a Commercial license already), but there are rules about how MCR may be made available to those who are in outside your company.
