Kaspersky Total Security just deleted (?) something necessary for MATLAB 2014a

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello everyone,
I recently began using "Kaspersky Total Security" as my antivirus software for my windows computer.
Just now it gave me the ominous message that I had a trojan malware:
Process Memory: C:\Programfiles\matlab\r2014a\bin\Win64\matlab.exe Object Name: PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic Object Type: Other Malware
And proceeded to delete the "threat".
Now my Matlab program will not open.
Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible that my antivirus just freaked out about a normal Matlab function?
I'm running a full scan now to see if my computer is "clean" and am now wondering if I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall MATLAB to restore the functionality of the program.
If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated,
Laura
