I reactivate my license on the same windows computer i have been running the same release of matlab (2019b) for long time.
Once i conclude the process when launching matlab, i receive this error: license checkout failed -9.
I follwed the help section exploring my windows username with 'set username', and reactivated the license with the current username reported from the cmd, but i did't obtain any change, same error reported and i am not able to use matlab.. do you have any solution please?

You might need to delete previous license files.
The -9 error message should have told you the list of directories that MATLAB is searching for a license.

Hi Demetrio,
When encountering a "license checkout failed -9" error in MATLAB after reactivating the license, it is essential to ensure that the license file is correctly updated with the current username. To resolve this issue, follow these steps: Close MATLAB and any related applications.Locate the license file on your computer (commonly named "license.lic"). Open the license file in a text editor and verify that the username matches the current Windows username. Save the changes to the license file. Restart MATLAB and attempt to launch the application again.
By updating the license file with the correct username and ensuring its accuracy, you should be able to resolve the "license checkout failed -9" error and use MATLAB without any issues.
