I've just installed matlab on a laptop which's specs are Intel 13th gen I9 core, 1TB SSD, 64GB Ram, RTX 4070. Matlab is still slow, what should I do to make it faster? Any ideas?

Could you specify how MATLAB is slow?

It appears the delay was only experienced during the first run. I initiated Simulink from the MATLAB command line and it took around 30 seconds to open initially. However, on the second attempt, the launch time improved significantly. Apologies for the earlier concern. The issue seems to have resolved itself with subsequent runs.

We don't know if you just want it to run faster. After all, everybody wants their code to execute in zero time on an infinitely large problem.
So, first, is it really running slowly? You should first run bench, then compare your results (with NOTHING running in the background) for that model CPU. So don't check your mail while bench is running. Don't surf the net. Verify if there is a problem to be worried about. Then look to see if some of the benchmarks are reasonable, but not all. That may point out a bottleneck on your system. Maybe you have something you have downloaded that is hogging your CPU. Is it a problem in graphics? Again, look at the benchmarks and compare.
If you want, post the results from bench that you get, so others can say if you are just overly optimistic, or if there is some reason to do something. You might also explain exactly what it is that you think is slow. And finally, you should tell people which MATLAB release you are using.
Only when you have done that is there possibly a reason to look more deeply. But in general, no, there is no magic trick to make MATLAB run fast. If there was, they would use it in the first place.
