odd behavior of the colorbar

Hi,

after creating a 3D surface, i am trying to add a colobar but i am getting strange results. the colorbar shows the same labales many many time, eventualy all the figure is covered with colorbar labales?

it does not happen when i am adding a colorbar for a 2D plot (patch). what can i do? how do i solve it?

It would be helpful if you add a screen capture to show the problem and give some context as to what you are plotting (size, variance of values, etc.)

the problem is only in the figure presentation, when i save it a a picture it come out just fine.
