Using data brush on 3D graph

With the new version of Matlab, my data brush tool is not working for 3D plots. It works fine in 2D.
When I try to use it on 3D plots, I do see a box when I drag, but the points do not change color and I am unable to right-click them to get more options. However, if I drag over some of the points in a 3D plot, and then press delete, the points are deleted.
I would greatly appreciate any help. It would be great to be able to select 3D points with the brush and right click them to create a new matrix from the points.
Thanks!

I too am having problems with brush selection on 3-D graphs. I am not programmer, did not write the code however all had been working fine with Matlab2013a on Mac OS 10.8.5 and fails with upgrade to Matlab2014a on both MacOS 10.8.5 and 10.10.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have access to programmers, but not with Matlab experience. Jonathan have you found an answer to your problem?

It would be best for you to contact MathWorks Tech Support. There are apparently some problems with the Mac OS and MATLAB.
