Laplace, Fourrier

Hello to all,
i´m a new user of Matlab and i would like to write a Script/Function, that will allow a user of my Program to enter a arbitrary function in the Time domain(and that´s my biggest problem) and my programm will read the entered function and calculate his Laplace or Fourrier transform.

Would it not be easier just to use an online free web site
that does this allready? Unless you want to do this for learning,
since there are sites that do this now.
