Central Limit Theorem (CLT) states that irrespective of the underlying distribution of a population (with mean μ and standard deviation of σ), if you take a number of samples of size N from the population, then the "sample mean" follow a normal distribution with a mean of μ and a standard deviation of σ/ sqrt(N).The normality gets better as your sample size n increases. |
