I'm not sure why, but it is much slower on R2012a. I ran the example and the inbuilt required 0.01 s and this version required 10 seconds.

I doubt MATLAB could improve that much, so I'm guessing some sort of optimization used in the mex code is no longer functional.

It works well in Windows 7; however, I shared my code with an OSX user and it apparently only displays a black screen instead of an image. Any suggestions?

Great job, just one thing : I have try to use the sample code with the photo of they in your picture,but the saliency map is different respect your that i see on the, computer vision, great work, image descriptors, image processing, just one thing ihave try to use it just cat the photo of the lad, object recognition, saliency, why
