Anisotropic diffusion (stable scheme)
This archive contains functions that assemble the stiffness matrix associated to anisotropic diffusion using the scheme presented in [J. Fehrenbach, J.-M. Mirebeau, Sparse non-negative stencils for anisotropic diffusion, J. Math. Imag. Vis., vol. 49(1) (2014), pp. 123-147]. This scheme is stable and positive, whatever the anisotropy of the diffusion tensor. It relies on 6-points stencils locally adapted to the diffusion tensor.
The present version addresses 2D and 3D problems. It aims at presenting and illustrating the results presented in the paper cited above, with a simple and easy-to-read code. Feel free to contact us regarding any need for an optimized implementation.
