The code implement a method to segment WBC nucleus and other method proposed by H. T. Madhloom et al. "An Automated White Blood Cell Nucleus Localization and Segmentation using Image Arithmetic and Automatic Threshold," Journal of Applied Sciences, vol. 10, no. 11, pp. 959-966, 2010.

The proposed algorithm is descried in "An Efficient Technique for White Blood Cells Nuclei Automatic Segmentation", IEEE SMC2012, posted. Please add a reference to it if you like this work.

The package also includes the blood image dataset (367 images) which were used to test the algorithms and generate the results in the above paper. The original blood microscopic images and also the manually segmented nucleus images are included.
