Why am I not able to access custom documentation in the Documentation Centre in MATLAB 8.0 (R2012b)?

When I create my customized documentation, I am able to access it by clicking in the Supplemental Software.
However, when I am trying to search for my customized functionality in the main Help Browser window within the Documentation Centre, I do not obtain any results.

The ability to searching for custom documentation in the Documentation Centre is not available in MATLAB.
There are no workarounds.
