I would like to double-click a MATLAB file in Windows and have it open in the MATLAB Editor within my current instance of MATLAB. Double-clicking opens an editor window that is not associated with MATLAB.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 2007a (R2007a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
The ability to open a MATLAB file into an existing instance of MATLAB has been implemented in MATLAB 7.4 (R2007a).
There are no workarounds for releases prior to MATLAB 7.4 (R2007a).
