Why does a simulation run beyond the time span of my experimental data when using Simulink Parameter Estimation 1.1 (R14SP1)?

I have included experimental data that exists from 0 to 15 seconds in my model. When executing the model using Simulink Parameter Estimation 1.1 (R14SP1), I noticed that the simulation will continue to run beyond the time span of the experimental data.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 14 Service Pack 2 (R14SP2). For previous product releases, please read below for any possible workarounds:
We have verified that there is a bug in Simulink Parameter Estimation 1.1 (R14SP1) in that way that it executes a simulation with certain parameter values. In particular, the final time of the simulation is the final time specified in the model instead of the final time associated with the data.
To work around this issue, set the final time of the simulation associated with the experimental data.
