Logitech C250 webcam preview works initially, but after preview is stopped then restarted, it doesn't work anymore (black screen). I have to unplug and replug the webcam to make it work again. This issue occurs with most resolution settings but a couple work fine (160x120 and 176x144).
I have tried using AMCAP utility with the webcam which works fine. However, AMCAP fails too if used after the webcam is previewed in MATLAB Image Acquisition Toolbox.

This is a bug. A workaround for MATLAB Image Acquisition Toolbox 4.3 (R2012a) Prerelease is given below:
Go to 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > 'Hardware and Sound' > 'Devices and Printers' > Right click on the C250 webcam > select 'Properties' in the context menu.
In the 'Logitech Webcam 250 Properties' dialog box > open the 'Hardware' tab > click on the 'Properties' button.
In the new dialog box > open the 'Driver' tab > click on the 'Update Driver...' button.
Select 'Search automatically for updated driver software'.
Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
Select the 'USB Video Device' driver from the list.
Close the dialog and restart your computer.
