Why does a right mouse click followed by an "ESC" key event corrupt my chart in Stateflow 6.0 (R14)?

2 views (last 30 days)
In Stateflow 6.0 (R14), my chart is corrupted as the result of using a left/right mouse click sequence over text objects followed by pressing the "ESC" key. The steps I follow to observe this behavior are listed here:
1. In a Stateflow chart, place the cursor within a transition text object using the left mouse button.
2. Press and release the right mouse button.
3. Press the "ESC" key.
At this point, I cannot edit my Stateflow chart.

This bug has been fixed in Stateflow 6.1 (R14SP1). If you are using a previous version, read the following:
We have verified that there is a bug in Stateflow 6.0 (R14) in the way that the Stateflow editor handles right-click events followed by "ESC" key events. To work around this issue after a Stateflow model has become corrupted, use the following steps:
1. Right-click on a transition text object.
2. Exit the right-click menu by either left-clicking outside of the menu or pressing the "ESC" key.
At this point, you should be able to edit the Stateflow diagram normally.
