Why can I not find Matlab.Application component under the list produced by dcomcnfg.exe for MATLAB 7.0.4 (R14SP2)?

I am trying to configure MATLAB in DCOM server. However, when I run dcomcnfg.exe, I cannot find Matlab.application in the list. I can only find Matlab.MLEval.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
There is a bug in MATLAB 7.0.4 (R14SP2) in the way that it handles DCOM server.
There are no workarounds.
