Why do the demos which shipped with the Link for Code Composer Studio 1.3.1 (R14) fail with a TI DSK?

I am trying to run the demos with Link for Code Composer Studio such as RTDXTUTORIAL and RTDXLMSDEMO but they are returning error messages.

This bug has been fixed in Release 14 Service Pack 2 (R14SP2). For previous releases, please read below for any possible workarounds:

The following boards require the appropriate GEL file to be loaded before running the demos mentioned.

 Board: C6416 DSK

 Demos: rtdxtutorial, rtdxlmsdemo

 Emulator: XDS-510

 GEL file to load: DSK6416.gel

 Board: C6713 DSK

 Demos: rtdxtutorial, rtdxlmsdemo

 Emulator: XDS-510

 GEL file to load: DSK6713.gel

 Board: C5416 DSK

 Demos: rtdxtutorial, rtdxlmsdemo

 Emulator: XDS-510

 GEL file to load: c5416_dsk.gel

Other demos and boards also require the appropriate GEL files. However, they currently run fine with the CCS default settings.
