Why do I receive a syntax error or encounter problems when using MLGETMATRIX in Excel Link 2.0 (R13) when the sheet name contains special characters?

I have an Excel spreadsheet where some sheet names contain spaces, commas, hyphens, or other special characters. When I enter the MLGETMATRIX command and specify these sheets, I receive a syntax error in Excel. The string "#SYNTAX?" is displayed in the Excel spreadsheet. In addition, MLGETMATRIX may cease to work until I close and re-open Excel.
