I am not sure whether the "freqdev" parameter for the FMMOD function in the Communications Toolbox documentation defines the maximum frequency deviation from the carrier or the frequency deviation constant.

This change has been incorporated into the documentation in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous releases, read below for any additional information:
We have verified that documentation on the FMMOD function is not clear in the Communications Toolbox manual.
Here is some additional information on the FMMOD function:
The "freqdev" parameter refers to the frequency deviation constant and NOT the maximum frequency deviation from the carrier frequency.
