What is the equivalent of 'Gradient type' of Optimization options pane in Simulink Parameter Estimation 3.2 (R2008b) in Optimization Toolbox 4.1 (R2008b)?

We can choose "basic" or "Refined" in "Gradient type" of Optimization options pane.
If we wanted to use Optimization toollbox instead, that is
if "Gradient type" option was replaced by "optimset(lsqnonlin)" parameter, which options are appropriate?

The documentation page for the 'Gradient type' parameter in the 'Optimizations Options' - 'Selecting Additional Optimization Options' pane - reached through
web([docroot,'/toolbox/sloptim/ug/bqoywyj-3.html#bqoywyj-7']) )
does not indicate that this parameter is native to Simulink Parameter Estimation and hence does not have an equivalent in the OPTIMSET function. The parameter changes some implementation details of Simulink Parameter Estimation.
