Hi All,
I am having trouble with PID control in Matlab.
I have the Matlab Student Version Release 12.
These are some of the problems I face:
EDU>> help pid
pid.m not found.
EDU>> pidtool ??? Undefined function or variable 'pidtool'.
EDU>> s=tf('s'); ??? Undefined function or variable 'tf'.
Can anyone please assist me with this.
Thank you.

The Control Systems Toolbox is included in the Student Version license, but it is not installed by default. Go back into the installer and select it.

Thank you for the reply Walter.
When I open the installer, I only get the following options:
- MATLAB 6.0
- Simulink 4.0
- Symbolic Math Toolbox 2.1.2
I can't find anything for Control Systems Toolbox
Any advise?

Did you get your version as a CD from something like a campus store? Or was it distributed to you by your institution, possibly customized ?
