How to vary color along with a 2D line in M-map?

1 view (last 30 days)
I have learned that 'Surface' could be used to draw lines with varying color. However, is there a similar function with 'surface' in M-map? Or how to vary color along lines in M-map?
For example: Lines to be plotted are defined by X=[1,2,3,3,4]; Y=[4,2,1,5,3]. Colors vary along the line due to the magnitude of Z=[30,34,56,34,44]. How to achieve this with M-map?
Thanks in advance.

What is "M-map" in this context? Is that something from the Mapping Toolbox ?
