pdepe in spherical co-ordinates - input for theta gradient terms (variable coefficient)

Hi,

Is it possible to solve the following to coupled PDE+ODE system (in spherical coordinates) using either pdepe or the non-linear PDE solver? If yes, how does one input the variable coefficents (1/sin\theta) terms ?
