Hi,
I need to do a fixed-effects panel regression in MATLAB. I have 366 market areas and 7 years, and I want to do market and year fixed effects. I have had an econometrics course, but we never did regressions with panel data. I have searched forums, textbooks, web pages, but nothing has worked so far. The simpler (and well-explained), the better, due to my lack of experience.
My data is listed in excel with each market in the first column, listed in 7 rows, and the years listed in the second column beside the markets (2005-2011). I then have 8 variables listed in the 3rd through 11th columns, correlating with the markets and years.
Any help, especially including code, would be wonderful.
Thank you! Amy

Hi Amy, I have the exact same problem here and also look through a lot of books, which didn't really help. Did you find out how to solve a regression like this? If you could help me here, that would be awesome! Thank you! Silvan
